2009 USGTSDA Championships - Washington, DC
Dear Studio Director,
I hope that this letter finds you well and in good spirits.
The United States Goodwill Tang Soo Do Association would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your recent support of the 4th National Championships. The event was inspiring! Competitors from approximately twenty dojangs came together in the spirit of Tang Soo Do, kinship and camaraderie, to compete, to exchange and to share the art we all love.
The USGTSDA is a groundbreaking and innovative organization, which unlike any other before it, allows its member studios and organizations to have independence as well as a great feeling of belonging to a national entity. We, the Executive Board and the Board of Directors are excited about our future plans. Our Bylaws, Charter, and procedures document are about to be ratified, we are planning a trip to Korea in August of 2010, and we are planning our 5th Nationals to be held at Virginia Beach in 2011.
Thanks to your help and support, the USGTSDA is now a viable and growing organization. We look forward to the continued support of our friends and colleagues in Tang Soo Do. Mostly we look forward to spending more time in the presence of you and your students’ Tang Soo spirit as we come together for future events. After all, the very purpose of the USGTSDA is to carry on Kwang Jang Nim Hwang Kee’s goal of world peace through the practice and study of the art of Tang Soo Do by uniting TSD organizations desiring to maintain and to uphold his traditional teachings and values.
